Alice has been working in the subsidised sector, for both core and project funded organisations and artists, since 2016. She has vast experience in a number of areas across producing.

R&D

Alice has planned, run and managed R&Ds since the beginning of her career. These have spanned a range of genres, from musical theatre, to new writing, to clowning and audio.

Programming

For the past 7 years Alice has programmed a number of non-traditional venue spaces for Red Ladder Local. She presents a programme of circa 20 performances from touring theatre companies every year, having set up the processes, contracts, and policies for the scheme.

National Portfolio Organisations

Alice is fully up to speed with the Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation process, having led Red Ladder’s successful bid and uplift for 2023-26. She set the company’s Investment Principles and was integral to their monitoring - with the company Relationship Manager describing their process as ‘best practice’.

Fundraising

Alice has successfully raised funds from Arts Council England, Local Government, and Trust & Foundation sources. Bids include Project Grants, DYCP, Leeds Cultural Investment Programmes, Leeds Community Committees, Wade’s Charity, Unity Theatre Trust, Wakefield Culture Grants and WYCA Funding amongst others.

Alice Rose Entertainment draws on the best features of a decade in the subsidised sector, combining them with Alice’s keen eye for ideas with broad appeal.

Alice is supported by a Stage One Bursary, and projects currently in development are the fruits of the genuine relationships she has developed with outstanding artists over the past 10 years. She is under the mentorship of Laura Elmes of Wild Park Entertainment.

Across the board, Alice’s work possesses two key qualities: a commercial hook, and artistic integrity. It’s as simple as that.
